• It was another one of those days at work, where I was sick to death of the same old routine. The clock ticked painfully slow and all I could think about was how I was wasting my life away working a 9 to 5 job. I mean, who wants to spend their entire day in an office? I sure don't. And to top it all off, I haven't had a girlfriend in ages. I mean, what's wrong with me? Am I that undesirable?

So with all these thoughts racing through my head as I walked home from work, I couldn't help but notice how boring everything looked. The same old streets, the same old houses, the same old shops. It's like nothing ever changes around here...

But then something strange happened. As I turned the corner onto my street, I saw a figure lurking in the shadows. My heart began to race and my palms started to sweat. Was this it? Was I finally going to meet my demise? But then the figure stepped forward and I recognized him as my neighbour, Peter.

"Alright, mate?" he said in his thick Mancunian accent.

I let out a sigh of relief and replied with a half-hearted "yeah". But then I noticed something odd. Peter was holding a large, blood-stained knife.

"What the bloody hell is that for?" I asked, my voice shaking.

"Oh, this?" Peter said, looking down at the knife. "Just doing a bit of gardening."

I raised an eyebrow, unsure if I should believe him. But then he let out a laugh and I realized he was just messing with me. Typical Peter.

As we chatted, I couldn't help but notice how different our dialects were. He spoke in a way that was so foreign to me, with his "our kid" and "mint" and "boss" phrases. But it was also refreshing. It was like a breath of fresh air in my monotonous life.

And then, out of nowhere, a group of teenagers appeared. They were loud and obnoxious, blasting music from a speaker. I groaned, annoyed at their presence. But then Peter stepped forward, his knife in hand.

"Right, lads," he said in a serious tone. "Time to turn that music off. It's past your bedtime."

The teenagers looked at him with a mix of fear and confusion before quickly packing up their things and running off. I couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of it all. Only Peter could scare off a group of teenagers with a knife.

As I continued on my way home, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the brief moment of excitement in my otherwise mundane life. And who knows, maybe one day I'll find a girlfriend. Or even five. But for now, I'll just enjoy the little moments of humour and excitement that come my way.

  • Ninja Foodi is the best!!!

It's not often that I rave about something...anything but I just had to for the Ninja Foodi MAX Health Grill & Air Fryer after buying it from JohnLewis for £179.99 and just love it!

I decided to buy the Ninja health grill because I was cooking and eating a lot of stir fried food during lockdown. After a couple months of stir frying everyday I noticed that there was thick layers of grease covering just about everything in my kitchen and that got me thinking about the effect all this greasy cacogenic oil would be having on my health.

Now after using the Ninja Foodi grill I don't think I will ever go back to stir frying or even using a conventional oven again because it makes your food taste so much better. It has 6 different ways it can cook your food Air Fry, Bake, Roast, Reheat, Dehydrate and Grill. So far I have only used the grill and yet to experiment with all the other cooking functions. I cannot wait to try out the air fryer with some proper good chips!

What I do know is that grilling meat is so simple to do using the machine. You don't even need to flip the meat if you don't want too. Essentially all you do is insert the temperature probe into whatever meat you are cooking, set to how you would like it cooked and then wait for it to cook. When grilling you wont be gassed by lots of smoke either which is a major bonus if you are like me and have a small kitchen with no windows. I also found that when grilling depending upon how well done you want your meat also is faster than a normal oven grill. Washing up afterwards is really easy. The pots and pans that come with the grill have a non stick coating and food just glides off effortlessly with just a little bit of soap and water using the easy cleaning brush that comes free with the grill.

Trust me, you wont be disappointed by the juicy and healthy grilled goodness that it produces. If you get sick of eating grilled chicken all day long then you can find lots of recipes online to make the most of your Ninja Foodi grill which are really easy so you wont ever get bored of cooking new and tasty things.

Before getting the Ninja Foodi grill I was a bit concerned about the size and how much space it would take up. I was relieved when it came because it is compact and doesn't take up a lot of room on my kitchen counter. It also is very sleek and is the best looking thing in my kitchen... I don't know what that says about my kitchen but hey ho!

There is currently a super deal on Johnlewis for the Ninja Foodi MAX Health Grill & Air Fryer at £179.99 whilst at rip off Amazon they are selling the exact same model for £300!!! Johnlewis also has a more reliable and longer warranty period over Amazon too. Amazon sucks.
